Alimak Hek has received orders from FLSmidth in Denmark for a total of 13 Alimak rack and pinion lifts. The lifts will be delivered and installed throughout the year in cement plants in Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Poland and Russia.

The ALIMAK SE lift model will be installed on the plant’s preheaters and silos. It can accommodate lifting heights between 50m and 120m, landings between two to 12 (approximately) and payload capacities between 2000kg to 2400kg.

Lift orders:

One Alimak lift will be installed at the new cement production line at Ramliya cement plant in Egypt, located near the city of Suez. With a total lifting height of 118m and a capacity of 2000kg, the lift will be used for service and inspection work on nine levels of the new preheater tower.

A new 7500TPD cement plant will be built by FLSmidth in Syria. FLSmidth opted for the use of three ALIMAK SE lifts; one lift for the two-string preheater, one for a silo and the third will be installed at the bagging house. The lift masts have been strengthened over the normal standard to cope with the earthquake risk in this area.

Two lifts will be used for the completely new 5000TPD cement plant that is to be built west of Qatar’s capital Doha. The lifts will be installed on the plants preheater with 118m lifting height and on the silo with 64m lifting height. Both lifts have a 2000kg payload capacity.

One lift will be used for the new two-string preheater at the Ozarow plant in Poland. One lift will be used on a silo at a new 3500TPD cement plant close to the city of Kursk, Russia. Two lifts are designated for a four-stage preheater and a silo at the new 5000TPD cement plant near the town of Slantsy in Russia.

Two lifts are designated for the new energy optimised cement production line at Podgorensky Cementik Plant in Podgornoye, Russia. The new 6000TPD line will replace the existing line. Lifts will be installed on the new preheater and on the silo. One lift will be used at a cement plant in the Moscow region. This lift is an ALIMAK SE 2400 FC with 85m lifting height for the preheater.

Each of the six lifts designated for Russia have been designed to handle temperatures down to –30°C.
