Leading warm edge supplier, Swisspacer, enjoyed a great tenth anniversary party and a successful exhibition at Glasstec 2008, Europe’s largest glass show. Attracting more than 55,000 visitors over five days, Glasstec presents product innovations, processing techniques and new glass applications to visitors from around the world.

Swisspacer’s stand had a constant stream of visitors who saw the benefits of its top performing warm edge technology first hand. During the exhibition, held in Düsseldorf, Swisspacer celebrated its 10th anniversary with a birthday party, which was attended by guests from across the world.

As well as a show stand, Swisspacer also had a display in the Glass Technology Live arena, which focused on glass and energy. Energy efficiency continues to be top of the agenda and demand for innovative energy saving solutions is high. The arena was an ideal place for Swisspacer to display its top performing warm edge solution to visitors.

During the exhibition, Swisspacer launched new machinery options, including a bending machine from SAINT-GOBAIN SEVA and an automatic spacer welding machine from R&R Sondermaschinen. The welding is done using ultrasonics and produces a welded warm edge spacer square with perfect corners in 30s. Both machines have been designed to make it easier and quicker for sealed unit manufacturers and window fabricators to produce the most energy efficient sealed units.

Swisspacer’s managing director, Matthias Meissner, comments: “Glasstec is the most important glass show worldwide and it provides a great platform for us to do business. It was a fantastic show with a constant stream of visitors wanting information and follow-up meetings. We were all fully occupied, showing products throughout the day, every day.”

“Even on Tuesday, when the show itself was quieter, we were run off our feet. The really good thing was most visitors made a beeline to our stand and seemed to know exactly what they were looking for. Obviously, this shows our marketing and PR is working effectively to build word of mouth. We couldn’t have asked for a better tenth anniversary birthday present to maintain our growth.”
