OMA and LOLA have presented the revised design of the Feyenoord Stadium to the quality team in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The new design has optimised the initial one so that it delivers time and cost aspects while emphasising its integrity as an iconic building within the Feyenoord City masterplan.

Proposed by OMA, Feijenoord Stadium and the Feyenoord Football Club, the stadium will serve as infrastructure for football and daily activities in the surrounding communities.
Located along the river Nieuwe Maas, the site will be highly accessible by public transportation.
Its design features include the stand, circulation cores, structure, and functional spaces, with each of these designed to boost performance.
The three-tier stand takes the stadium’s capacity to 63,000 while placing spectators as close to the pitch as possible to provide an intimate experience of the matches.

Designed in close collaboration with LOLA, the concourse will serve as the key part of the public space.
The landscape concept features access points from both sides of the city and reinforcement of the riverbank, including a tidal park and urban connection with the ring road.
The concourse will also serve as a raised square where visitors can enjoy the view and many activities all-year-round.
The new stadium has been developed by OMA and LOLA in collaboration with developer Stichting Gebiedsontwikkeling aan de Maas, the Municipality of Rotterdam, Stadium Feijenoord, and multiple other stakeholders.
OMA submitted the building permit and finalised detailed design for the Feyenoord Stadium this year.
Construction of the stadium is scheduled to commence in 2022 and the work is expected to complete in 2025.
In November 2019, the KUBE multifunctional installation by Dutch architect OMA opened to the public at K11 MUSEA in Hong Kong.
