
A wholly owned subsidiary of AECOM, Tishman Construction has been choosen as construction manager for Silverstein Properties’ 3 World Trade Center, which is being built at a cost of $1.46bn.
Designed by the Richard Rogers Partnership, 3 World Trade Center is planned to be located at 175 Greenwich Street and, according to AECOM, construction is underway at the site.
AECOM CEO Michael Burke said: "It is an honour to work with Silverstein Properties on their latest signature office tower in Lower Manhattan.
"AECOM and our Tishman team have a proud history at the World Trade Center and we are pleased to continue participating in realising the vision for this important site."
3 World Trade Center will be 80 storeys high and will include 2.8 million ft² of space spread across 53 floors and five base building floors.
Office floors in the tower will range from 29,000ft² to 44,000ft², with floors at the base of the building having 68,000ft² of space. It will also have five retail levels at and below grade.

3 World Trade Center aims to achieve the LEED Gold standard for energy-efficiency.
AECOM companies, including URS Corporation and Hunt Construction Group, reported revenues of around $19.5bn over the 12 months up to 30 September 2014.
