Clark Contracts has been appointed by the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) for its £100m ($127.95m) Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework.

Earlier this week, the SPA announced that several companies secured a spot on this framework.

Clark Contracts has been assigned to two multitrade lots within the framework, encompassing projects valued up to £2.5m.

The framework is designed to facilitate various refurbishment works.

SPA regional director Lesley Anderson said: “We’re constantly seeking ways to help further support the public sector in improving their homes and buildings while ensuring an environmental focus is at the heart of every step.

“This framework will empower councils, social landlords, the NHS [National Health Service], and various organisations to efficiently and cost-effectively maintain and upgrade buildings, ensuring they offer warm and comfortable living spaces.”

The works include kitchen and bathroom upgrades, electrical installations, painting and decorating, as well as environmental and external works.

Additionally, it can accommodate multidisciplinary projects that encompass adaptations, roofing, and mould prevention.

The company is already a member of the SPA’s Public Buildings and Infrastructure Framework and New Build Housing Construction Framework.

Clark is also part of other public sector frameworks, which include Scotland Excel’s New Build Residential Framework and the NHS National Services Scotland’s Minor Works Framework.

Additionally, it has been appointed for the Crown Commercial Services Construction Works Framework, and has agreements with Fusion21, Prosper, the University of Glasgow, and the City of Edinburgh Council.

Last month, Clark completed the construction of the indoor tennis centre within Oriam at Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh campus in Scotland.
