Skanska has secured a contract with National Highways to improve 6.6km of the A46 Newark Bypass in the Midlands region of UK.
The contract is worth $400m (SEK4.3bn), which will be added by the company in its order bookings for Europe in the third quarter of this year.
The project will see delivery of a dual carriageway A46 Bypass, bringing two lanes in each direction, between the Farndon and Winthorpe junctions.
Skanska is also responsible for building a new five-arm roundabout at Winthorpe and traffic lights at Farndon junction to enhance traffic flows during peak time.
Furthermore, the project will see construction of a new bridge over the A1, and installation of a flyover at Cattle Market.
The A46 Newark Bypass is a key route linking the M1 and Leicester to the A1 and central Lincolnshire.
