UK-based Robertson Strategic Asset Management (RSAM) has submitted a hybrid planning application to the Preston City Council for the development of a new residential project in Bartle, Preston.
If approved, the proposal can help in improving infrastructure and outline planning for residential development with nearly 1,100 homes, on a 46-hectare site on the Preston Western Distributor Road, bound to the north by the M55.
For the project, RSAM is acting as the site promoter to secure planning and site disposal and is also working with Tom Barron Pension Fund, the landowner and their advisers Eckersley. DPP Planning was appointed as a planning consultant.
Named Bartle Village, the project is expected to offer a better quality environment for residents and visitors and includes areas of open space and natural habitats for local wildlife.
As connectivity to the place will be provided by the proposed new road layout, Bartle Village is expected to act as a catalyst to encourage further development and investment in the wider area of North West Preston.
RSAM planning and development director David Miller said: “The proposed development of the new Bartle Village will see the introduction of a new sustainable community on the outskirts of Preston.
