Swedish construction giant Skanska has sold office development Green Court in Bucharest, Romania to Globalworth Real Estate Investments for around Skr440m (€47m).

The firm is expected to transfer the property to the investment giant by the end of this year.

Located in the new central business district in the Romanian capital, the project is the first office development for Skanska within the country.

Green Court Bucharest includes three office buildings, offering a total leasable area of around 54,500m².

Finalised in June, the transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Europe under its fourth quarter sales this year.

Skanska Commercial Development Europe operates across metropolitan areas of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Poland through its four local units, serving as Skanska Property Czech Republic, Skanska Property Hungary, Skanska Romania and Skanska Property Poland respectively.

Earlier in the month, Skanska has also sold another office building located in Prague, Czech Republic, to Invesco Real Estate.

Sold at around €55m, the Corso Court in Prague offered a total leasable area of around 17,200m², of which 100% has been leased.

The firm has also won a new contract worth around Nkr390m (€41.9m) for construction and renovation of a commercial development Kvartal 32 at Kristiansand in Norway this month.
