Signet Development has broken ground on an entrepreneurial-based academic residential community at The University of Florida (UF).
Infinity Hall will house students from the autumn term of 2015 and represents the first privatised partnership within Innovation Square, UF’s 40-acre sustainable live, work and play community, designed to fuse the university with the private sector.

UF president Bernie Machen said: "Infinity Hall is the first private sector finance project to arise from the vision of public-private partnership that defines Innovation Square.
"Infinity Hall is the first residence hall in Gainesville and among only a handful in the nation designed for young entrepreneurs who mean so much to our future as a community and as a country."
Signet chairman Anthony Manna said: "It is through innovative partnerships like the one with the University of Florida that we are able to continue to stay at the forefront of providing creative development solutions that enhance educational missions."
Developed, financed, owned and managed by Signet, the facility will also have collaboration space and teaming areas on the ground floor that will be open to all students as an additional amenity.
Construction started in March and Infinity Hall has been positioned directly across the street from the Florida Innovation Hub business incubator to further integrate students with the business community.
Perkins + Will has designed the five-story, 97,000ft², 312-bed living learning centre, which is being built by Brasfield & Gorrie.
