Italian-based Climaveneta has announced completion of building restoration for the headquarters of Prysmian Group, which is located in the Bicocca district in Milan.
The refurbishment project has been designed to offer 22,000m² space and will have the capacity to accommodate 700 people.

It was focused on energy efficiency and sustainability, and is pursuing a LEED Platinum certification.
LEED is an abbreviated form for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is awarded to green buildings, which are recognised for building strategies and practices.
The complex, which attempted to include architectural innovation, comprises four wings used for offices and services that are connected by two large greenhouses.
The development features full-height glazed areas, which facilitates entry of natural light and internal mobility.

Climaveneta was appointed as the HVAC designer for the restoration project and was responsible for the new air conditioning system installations at the buildings.
The firm has supplied two of its FOCS2-W/CA-E units for the office building, which is expected to bring down the operating costs and ensure quick payback time.
