Hightown Housing Association has proposed developing affordable social housing by converting the sites of disused office buildings in the Maylands district of Hemel Hempsted, UK.
The association has submitted plans to Dacorum Borough Council for constructing 87 one and two-bedroom flats across four blocks.

Planned on the site of the old Atlas Copco office in Swallowdale Lane, it will also house a central landscaped amenity area and courtyard.
The development will provide affordable housing in the UK by offering homes for rent and shared ownership.
The site also benefits from being accessible to schools, shops, community facilities and employment opportunities.
The building will have a road access from Redbourn Road to the planned courtyard, which will be surrounded by three four-storey blocks with a nine-storey block rising up as the corner building.

Viking house, currently on the site, will be demolished for the new construction, which is likely to start next year.
Hightown Housing Association expects the first residents to take over their homes by the end of 2017.
Hightown Development director George Edkins said: "There’s a vital need for more affordable housing in Hemel Hempstead, and we want to help people who cannot afford to rent or buy their own home because of current market rates.
"In the last few years we have invested nearly £43m in building nearly 300 homes around the town centre of Hemel Hempstead.
"Our plans to build new homes on the site of redundant office buildings at Maylands Plaza, and now Viking House, will deliver a further 200 homes in Maylands."
