Pace University in the US has selected Andron Construction and OSports as the design-build team for the athletic department component of the Pleasantville campus revitalisation master plan.
Under the contract, Andron will manage the construction works while OSports will provide architectural and engineering services.
The athletics department component of the plan includes the renovation of Peter X. Finnerty Field with a turf surface and lights for night games.
Finnerty Field is currently home to the Pace Baseball team and after the project completion it will become the game field for the newly formed Women’s Field Hockey programme.
Plans also include the renovation of Pace Field into a synthetic surface with lights, about 1,000 seats and a new press box. Pace Field is currently the home field for Pace Football and Men’s Lacrosse.
After completion, the new field will serve as the home for the Pace Football, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Lacrosse teams.

By GlobalDataOther athletics-related improvements include the creation of a new softball field behind Dyson Hall to replace the field currently on the Briarcliff campus.
A varsity field house will also be built with locker rooms, administrative offices, a varsity weight room, sports medicine training facilities, and a VIP Room overlooking the field.
Ground was broken last fall on the $100m first phase of the master plan, for the transformation of the Pleasantville campus.
The university said the fully approved four-year master plan will result in the consolidation of the Briarcliff campus at Pleasantville and feature a range of important improvements, including significantly expanded and upgraded athletics facilities.
Apart from the athletic facilities, the master plan also requires construction of new residence halls and the expansion of the Morris and Janet Kessel Student Center.
The project includes relocation of the Pace Environmental Center to an expanded site of the campus, and an overall reorientation of the campus into a pedestrian-friendly design.
