UAE master developer Nakheel will be constructing a 500-room Avani beachfront resort at the coastal city Deira Islands in Dubai, in a joint venture with Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group (MHG).
Deira Islands is the firm’s planned 15.3km² tourism, retail and residential hub in Dubai.

The planned project, Avani Deira Islands, is expected to offer genuine hospitality and relaxed comfort, and reflect Avani as a brand with design, contemporary style and modern lifestyle essentials.
Nakheel’s coastal city project will add 40km to the UAE city’s coastline, including 21km of beachfront. It is expected to be developed into a luxury hub with hotels and serviced apartments, retail destinations, mixed-use buildings and residential waterside developments.
Nakheel intends to set-up four more hotels at Deira Islands along with the recently announced Avani resort. The coastal project will also house ‘Dubai’s first four-star all-inclusive beachfront resort under a joint venture with Spain’s RIU Hotels and Resorts’, Nakheel said.
The Dubai Government-owned company is also developing the five-star Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah, and hotels at Dragon City and Ibn Battuta Mall.
