Morgan Sindall has started construction of a new £27.5m building for the University of Huddersfield in the UK.
The new development will be six storeys-high and house the university’s School of Law, as well as part of the School of Music, Humanities and Media.

It will be built next to the Student Central and Creative Arts Building at the university campus in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Designs for the planned Law and Humanities building have been created by Huddersfield-based architectural firm AHR.
Claimed to be iconic, the building will overlook the town’s Shorehead roundabout, one of the most important road arteries in Huddersfield.
Construction is expected to be finished by the start of 2017. The site was previously scheduled to be operational from this September, but work was postponed due to contractor GB Building Solutions’ collapse into administration.
Morgan Sindall replaced GB as the project contractor.
Sindall has a long association with the University of Huddersfield, as well as previously completed specialist refurbishment projects for the institution. The company is also responsible for proposed developments at its Institute of Railway Research.
