Developer Knight Dragon has selected construction major Mace as the preferred bidder for the next phase of development of the Greenwich Peninsula in south-east London, UK.
Following a probable contract, Mace will be responsible for developing Knight Dragon’s NO205 scheme in the Upper Riverside District, which includes construction of two buildings of 464 apartments.
The dual structures will be the first in a series of towers on the regeneration site’s Upper Riverside district, and expected to involve an investment of £150m.
This is one of the five new districts planned for the peninsula and is anticipated to include around 1,000 homes in total.
Greenwich Peninsula has been planned as the largest single regeneration project in London, which is expected to create 15,720 homes, 12,000 jobs, and an entire new district for the UK capital.
The scheme has an estimated value of £8.4bn, and will include two schools, independent shops bars and restaurants, public squares, and parkland.
