US-based online social networking service Facebook has relocated to its new headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, the green facility known as MPK 20 had been constructed at the company’s Menlo Park campus in California, US.

The new building features a rooftop park and an open floor plan.
According to Gehry, the facility is LEED certified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) and was built based on a design scheme that draws inspiration from its culture of transparency.
The 430,000ft² facility has been designed to accommodate about 2,800 staff member and visitors.
The majority of MPK 20 is said to be underground giving the company more of green space atop the 70ft roof, which is covered by a large swath of grass, park benches and around 400 newly planted trees, Tech Times reported.
Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg said the roof of the building has a nine-acre park with walking trails and outdoor spaces to sit and work.
MPK 20 stands on one side of an expressway and serves as an extension of the company’s existing headquarters.
Under the highway, a tunnel runs between the two buildings for foot, bicycle and tram traffic.
The new complex has been designed to match the exisiting one.
