Mexico-based building materials company CEMEX has received a contract to supply building blocks for the new Chase Center in San Francisco, US.
The facility is set to open by the 2019 National Basketball Association (NBA) season, and will serve as the future home of the American basketball team Golden State Warriors.
The company is expected to provide more than 76,000m³ ready-mixmix concrete for the new 18,000-seat sports and entertainment complex.
Crews belonging to the company have already started pouring concrete at the site near downtown San Francisco for the structure’s pillars.
In addition, the company will provide other products used for the foundation of the arena and a nearby office building.
CEMEX USA president Ignacio Madridejos Said: “CEMEX is committed to helping keep up with the growth in California, and we are delivering high-quality products and superior customer experience.
