AHR has become the first architecture-led consultancy firm to secure BIM Level 2 design and construction certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
This verification took place during the course of March. The verification process covered all aspects of the business, including architecture, building surveying, geomatics and landscape design.
The UK Government mandates that all centrally funded building and infrastructure projects in the country must use Level 2 BIM.
AHR stated the certification helps it now offer assurance when tendering for work that it can deliver this requirement.
AHR director Bryan Hamilton said: "Having been early adopters of BIM, AHR has sought to remain at the forefront of developing BIM practices and, as the first architecture led practice to receive BSI verification, our clients and collaborators can be confident that our working methods have been independently and rigorously assessed."
BSI global head of construction, product certification Andy Butterfield said: "It’s great to see that AHR is committed to being compliant with the requirements for PAS 1192-2 covering Design and Construction for Level 2 BIM and that the scheme is continuing to gather momentum.

The BSI system independently assesses businesses against the PAS 1192-2 standard, which sets out how to share information on BIM projects and lists the requirements for BIM Level 2.
