
Construction company Bouygues UK has been selected by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to deliver Locksley D, the fourth phase of a £37.1m project to provide council homes.
This £8.4m contract is expected to transform an unused patch of land called the Limehouse Triangle into a 17-unit affordable housing scheme spread over eight storeys.
The development will consist of a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
The apartments will be built for local people, including families, on the housing register.
Construction on this site is expected to begin this March and be completed by November next year.
This is the fourth new affordable housing development that Bouygues UK will be delivering within Tower Hamlets.

By GlobalDataThe earlier three sites, Locksley A, Jubilee Street and Baroness Road, have been completed and occupied.
With these four schemes, Bouygues UK will be delivering a total of 94 homes for residents of Tower Hamlets.
The former Royal London Hospital site in Whitechapel is also being transformed into the borough’s new Town Hall by Bouygues UK.
