US real estate firm The Howard Hughes Corporation has unveiled residential 60-acre community development A’ali’i project in Ward Village in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A’ali’i will feature 751 homes focused on smart living, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences.
Designed to provide luxury resort-style amenities, A’ali’i homes will have fully furnished kitchens with Bosch appliances, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Homes will feature customised furniture, including a smart wall with a retractable sofa, bed and desk.
The Howard Hughes Corporation CEO David R Weinreb said: “Our vision for A’ali’i represents the culmination of several years studying the most cutting-edge residential product around the world in order to create an innovative type of home that does not exist in the market.
“We are rethinking how space is used and empowering our residents to get the most out of their home, offering a move-in ready home and experiential lifestyle.”

The property was designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz in partnership with Rottet Studio interior architect Lauren Rottet.
The A’ali’i smart-living concept will feature health and wellness amenities, a penthouse-level sky deck with a rooftop fitness club, barbecue pavilions, indoor and outdoor event spaces, as well as a children’s play area.
Ward Village community development vice-president Todd Apo said: “At Ward Village, we are singularly focused on developing a community that will be benchmarked against the most vibrant and sought-after master plans in the world.
“A’ali’i residents will get to experience the best shopping, dining, art and culture scene that Honolulu has to offer.”
Set to break ground later this year, A’ali’i is located next to Hawaii’s flagship Whole Foods Market.
A’ali’i is the latest addition to Ward Village’s line of towers Waiea, Anaha, Aeo and KeKilohana. It was created as a result of the demand for new homes in Honolulu.
