Japan-based Hitachi Consulting has been awarded a project to design ‘Smart City’ services for Thailand’s integrated district, One Bangkok.
The company will assist investment holding and real estate company TCC Assets (Thailand) and Frasers Property in designing ‘Smart City’ services of their joint ventured private sector project One Bangkok.
One Bangkok smart cities and sustainability director Anthony Arundell said: “Smart City services and sustainability are among our top priorities, which is also in line with Thailand 4.0, the government’s industrial policy that aims to transform the Thai economy.
“We selected Hitachi Consulting based on its expertise in IT, facility management operational systems, and the internet of things (IoT).”
With a centralised IoT-driven platform, the nine-tower mixed-use urban project will spread over 1.8 million square metres of floor space.
Scheduled to open in 2021, the urban facility encompasses office, retail, hospitality, residential and cultural areas and will serve more than 60,000 people.
