Private rental homes Provider Grainger has revealed the completion of its first build-to-rent (BTR) residential development, called The Barnum, in Nottingham, UK.

The project has been developed in collaboration with Blocwork, a joint venture between property developer Bloc Group and Network Rail.

Blocwork worked in close partnership with Grainger, overseeing the project’s entire process from conception to completion, as GRAHAM served as the primary contractor.

Grainger CEO Helen Gordon said: “The Barnum is a great new addition to our UK build-to-rent portfolio, as our first development in Nottingham. Based in the heart of the city, and directly adjacent to Nottingham train station, The Barnum is perfect for those who love city-centre living with the additional benefit of excellent transport links.

“With high-quality homes and a variety of resident amenities and social spaces on offer within The Barnum, we look forward to creating a thriving new residential community in Nottingham. A place where residents can build friendships and are proud to call home.”

The Barnum, named after the Barnum railway fleet, features 348 fully furnished rental homes, comprising studios, and one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.

The interior design of the development has been influenced by the transport industry, providing a ‘twist’ on train aesthetics.

Additionally, the development will feature artwork that pays homage to the history of the railway in the region.

The Barnum offers a resident’s lounge, a co-working space with individual booths, a social lounge with a pool table, a private dining room, and more.

Among other amenities included in the community are an on-site gym, 47 car parking spaces, along with storage for up to 264 bicycles.

It also has a dedicated Resident Services Team to assist residents with any inquiries they may have.

The development is situated on Queens Road on a regeneration site.
