Galliford Try’s Building London and South East Commercial business has topped out a build-to-rent (BTR) building in north London, UK.

The project is being delivered as part of a joint venture between Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate, a real estate investment manager, formed in 2022 to deliver £600m ($756.76m) of gross development value at Brent Cross Town in partnership with Barnet Council.

The topping-out ceremony was attended by Related Argent officials, the Galliford Try team, and Invesco’s managing director for residential investments John German.

Galliford Building London and South East Commercial managing director Matthew Pool said: “It was a pleasure to celebrate the topping-out ceremony with Related Argent, and the stakeholders involved.

“We are proud to be a part of the ongoing Brent Cross Town regeneration project that is adding much-needed homes to the area and bringing new life to this part of London, to the benefit of the wider community.”

Galliford’s Building London segment was originally hired for this development in March last year.

Funded by ICG Real Estate, this project forms a part of a 180-acre Brent Cross Town regeneration scheme, which aims to revitalise a currently underused industrial area.

Situated at Neighbourhood Square, the project, which is designed by Squire and Partners, will offer 249 new rental homes across three blocks, along with on-site amenities.

It is a short distance from the new Brent Cross West station, providing a 12-minute connection to Central London.

The new homes are scheduled to welcome their first residents in mid-2025.

Last November, Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate awarded a contract to Galliford’s Building unit to deliver a second BTR building at Brent Cross.

Under this contract, Galliford will deliver 286 apartment units.
