AKROPOLIS GROUP is set to commence construction on a new commercial building near the AKROPOLIS Vilnius shopping and entertainment centre in Lithuania.

The real estate development and management company will make an investment of approximately €1m ($1.09m) into the building’s construction.

The one-storey building, covering 480m², will become home to an expanded Sportland store, a retailer known for its sports and athleisure wear fashion brands.

A construction permit for the new facility was secured at the end of last month. Work is expected to span four months.

The project aims to replace temporary structures situated between entrances No. 4 and No. 6 of the aforementioned shopping centre.

Operations at the current Sportland store and Akropolis shopping centre will remain uninterrupted throughout construction.
