Canada-based Bird Construction has finalised a contract with Concert Infrastructure, an investor, developer and manager of public infrastructure.
Bird is a commercial and institutional building construction company.
Under the contract, Bird will design, build, fund and maintain an office complex and training centre for Bruce Power, an electricity supplier in Ontario, Canada.
The contract’s financial terms were not disclosed by either party.
Bird will undertake the design and construction of the project, which is expected to begin shortly. It is a part of the consortium led by Concert Infrastructure.
Construction is expected to be complete by 2019.

Located in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada, the project will facilitate Bruce Power with an office complex and training centre for its nuclear refurbishment program.
The new facility includes a 129,000ft² building with two-storey office area with classrooms, amenities, and facilities for nearly 500 employees.
A warehouse training space for the Bruce Power Major Component Replacement projects will be built.
Site services, a stormwater pond, and the extension of a municipal road into the site are included in the project.
