Saudi-based Al Sharq Construction Company (Weavers) Limited has secured a SAR600m ($160m) contract from Al Murjan Group to conduct electromechanical works and finish external facades of buildings at Delta Complex, a mixed-use development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, reported Trade Arabia.
This project, spanning 27,000m2, features four components – Delta Marriott Hotel; Marriott Hotel Apartments Building; an administrative building; and an events hall.

Delta Marriott Hotel will feature 181 rooms and 25 suites; Marriott Hotel Apartments Building will feature eight floors with 100 hotel apartments; and a 3,000m2 events hall that can accommodate 1,500 people.
According to Al Murjan Group, this is the final phase of the Delta project being developed at a total cost of SAR1.2bn.
The completion period of the project is slated to end of 2024.

By GlobalDataAl Murjan Group CEO Taufiq Bahamdain said the Delta multiplex complex, which will feature a built-up area of 124,000m3, is slated to become an important landmark in the Saudi city.
It is also located a key location at the intersection of King Abdulaziz Road and Al Salam Road.
Commenting on the other major developments, Bahamdain was quoted by the news agency as saying: “At present, we have two commercial projects in Riyadh, one of which is located on Al Takhassusi Street, and the other on King Abdullah Road. The volume of investments in these projects amounts to about SAR200 million.”
He further added: “These are an extension of previous projects in the city of Riyadh, such as the Al Murjanah Residential Complex in the Hittin neighbourhood, featuring 51 housing units.”
