India-based robotics company Addverb Technologies has announced plans to construct a robot manufacturing facility at Noida, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh following the recent injection of up to $132m from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
To be spread over 60,000m2, it is claimed to become the world’s largest manufacturing facility once it becomes operational. It will create direct and indirect employment to more than 3,000 people.
Claimed to be ten times larger than the present manufacturing facility called Bot-Valley in Noida, the new facility will position Addverb as the largest manufacturer of robots in the world.
Addverb Technologies founder and CEO Sangeet Kumar said: “This brand-new facility will make Addverb a giant robot manufacturer on global fronts, by delivering cutting edge software and robust hardware systems, along with a mix of innovative fixed and flexible automation solutions.”
Recently, RIL had invested in Addverb to build the robotic manufacturing facility.
The latest facility will be capable of annually manufacturing up to 60,000 robots of different sizes and types.
