The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.3% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.

Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.84% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 2.83% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 56.8% in November 2022, registering an 18.61% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.51% share, a decrease of 14.86% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.46%, registering a 12.5% decline from October 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 6.19%, down 32.79% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 29.01% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s construction industry during November 2022 over October 2022.

Honeywell International posted 100 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 88.68% over the previous month, followed by Larsen & Toubro with 90 jobs and an 8.43% growth. Johnson Controls International with 57 IT jobs and General Electric with 53 jobs, recorded a 50% growth and a 15.87% decrease, respectively, while Eaton Corporation recorded an increase of 52% with 38 job postings during November 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.45%, down by 22.69% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 31.87% share, registered a decline of 9.44% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.52% share, up 241.18% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.15%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
