November 2022 has seen a decrease of 9.98% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 5.38% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 0.09% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 36.08% in November 2022, a 50.31% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 32% in November 2022, marking a 42.15% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 14.54% in November 2022, a 39.71% drop from October 2022.

Top five construction companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 49.31% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s construction industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Kier Group posted 135 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 68.16% over the previous month, followed by Bilfinger with 63 jobs and an 8.62% growth. General Electric with 59 IT jobs and Nexans with 56 jobs, recorded a 9.26% rise and a 34.12% drop, respectively, while Vinci recorded a 47.52% decline with 53 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s construction industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 36.7% share in November 2022, a 51.47% decrease over October 2022. France featured next with a 14.89% share, down 51.59% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 7.71% share, a drop of 55.15% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.26%, down by 45.47% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.72% share, registered a decline of 37.82% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.87% share, down 47.92% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.15%, recording a month-on-month decline of 60.61%.
