The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 29.18% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 10.85% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.27% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops ABB IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by ABB, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 34.55% in October 2022, and a 2.7% rise over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 31.82% in October 2022, and registered growth of 16.67%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 11.82% in October 2022, an 116.67% rise from September 2022.

Europe drives IT hiring at ABB

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 42.73% share, which marked a 6.82% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 31.82%, registering an 84.21% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 22.73% share and an 8.7% rise over September 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.82% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.91%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 20.91% share in October 2022, a 43.75% growth over September 2022. US featured next with a 17.27% share, down 9.52% over the previous month. Italy recorded a 7.27% share, an increase of 60% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead ABB IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.64%, up by 25.53% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.64% share, a decline of 16.13% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 22.73% share, up 212.5% over September 2022.
