Lonza Wood Protection was awarded the "Best stand in show" at the recent Timber-Expo 2012 by the show organisers and TRADA.

The Lonza stand featured TANALITH E 8000 wood preservative, recently launched to the UK and Ireland markets, as well as the launch of Drywood coatings, a high performance and warrantied decorative system that can be used in conjunction with Lonza’s Non-Com Exterior fire retardant treated timber.

TANALITH E 8000 is the latest innovative preservative treatment from Lonza and makes use of unique BARamine technology to further increase the performance of next generation TANALISED pressure treated timbers.

Birthday celebrations for 21 years of TANALITH E proven performance started the evening prior to the show with a party for Lonza customers and the timber trade at Bar 87 beneath the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and featured cricketer and TV personality Phil Tufnell, who entertained the guests throughout the evening.

The graphics on the stand and at the birthday party were branded to support the launch of TANALITH E 8000 and featured the campaigns star – a rugged rugby player in black and white hoops.

Show organiser Darren Richards said: "What we liked about the design of the Lonza stand was that it was an integral part of the overall promotional campaign for the launch of next generation TANALISED timber. We especially liked the ‘it’s as tough as it comes’ strapline and the way Lonza had used iPad application technology to make the exhibition stand interactive for visitors to the show."
