Wynn Resorts has shared a construction update on its latest development, Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project is the company’s first integrated resort in the UAE and is situated about 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

It is being developed in partnership with Marjan Properties and RAK Hospitality Holding.

Wynn Design & Development has carried out the overall design of the resort. The project cost is $5.1bn.

ALEC Engineering and Contracting, which is part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, received the main construction contract for Wynn Resort in 2023.

German foundation specialist Bauer International, meanwhile, was awarded the contract for piling and enabling works.

The main tower of the resort, which will reach 305m in height, is now approaching its full structure. Topping out is scheduled for later this month.

The Wynn Al Marjan Island tower currently stands at its 70th floor, with ongoing work on the roof deck.

On the exterior, installation of the facade panels has reached 73% completion, with 19,206 out of 26,247 panels fitted.

Construction progress on low-rise buildings includes concrete and steel work now 97% finished.

The planned opening of the resort is set for early 2027.

The site covers more than 60 hectares and includes 1,217 resort rooms, 297 enclave suites, ten Marina Estates, four garden townhomes, and two royal apartments.

Planned amenities include 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars; a beach club; a spa; beauty facilities; a shopping area featuring international luxury brands; and the Coral Court event venue.

A theatre called The Showroom, 12 pools, a beach stretching 420m with white sand, and a deep-water marina for superyachts from different parts of the world are also part of the planned facilities.

Structural construction has been completed for 1,526 units out of 1,530 or about 99.7% of total accommodations.

Interior fit-out activities are underway in approximately 1,504 units, as mechanical and electrical installation continues across the site.
