Veidekke to build Feyer Brygge housing project in Egersund, Norway

The centre of Egersund will be a short distance away from the development's promenade and boat piers.

Feyer Eiendom has contracted construction and civil engineering company Veidekke to build the Feyer Brygge housing project in the inner harbour of Egersund, Norway.

The project features 37 units across three apartment buildings, along with a quay and promenade, underground parking, a shopping centre, and workspaces.

This design and build contract has an estimated value of Nkr290m, exclusive of VAT.

The residences are set to be completed by the second quarter of 2026.

Veidekke Bygg Rogaland's district manager Bendik Aarstad said: “We are very happy to have won the competition for this commission and to have gained renewed trust from a good customer in Egersund.

“This is a very fine project of high quality and many exciting challenges, including establishing new land in the sea.

“We have long and extensive experience with this type of project and look forward to starting. It is both gratifying and understandable to see the interest this project is generating, and that apartment sales have gone so well in a rather demanding market.”

The three apartment buildings will feature five, six, and seven floorplans, respectively, with the units ranging in size from 65m² to 205m². Block A will have underground parking, ground-floor retail, and offices on two of the floors.

Since the sea surrounds almost the entire plot, the new land will feature a promenade along the shore, boat piers, and various outdoor spaces. The centre of Egersund, including restaurants and shops, is a short walk from this shore.

Feyer Eiendom general manager Evy Skåra Myklebust said: “We are delighted to sign yet another contract with Veidekke Rogaland as we embark on a major new construction project in Egersund.

“This is a project that will mean a lot to the town, and we have put a lot of effort into creating a project we can be proud of, and which is not only attractive to home buyers, but also to all the residents of Egersund.”

Design work is expected to start in the coming months, with construction set to begin in November, once the salmon spawning season concludes.

The contract will be added to Veidekke’s order backlog for this year's second quarter.
