Skanska has signed a $91m contract with Highline Public Schools for the Pacific Middle School Replacement Project in Des Moines, Washington, US.

This project, included in Skanska's US order bookings for the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, involves constructing a new three-story facility covering approximately 132,800ft² to accommodate 950 students from the sixth to eighth grades.

The new building will feature around 40 classrooms, administrative spaces, and instructional support areas, replacing the existing Pacific Middle School structures.

Construction began in July 2025, with completion expected by February 2027.

This development marks a significant investment in educational infrastructure in the region.

In addition to this project, Skanska recently entered into a Nkr578m ($56.60m) agreement with The Norwegian Diakonhjem for a new nursing home in Oslo, Norway.

This contract is recorded in Skanska's Nordic order books for Q3 2025, showcasing the company's expanding footprint in the Nordic region.

Last month, Skanska was selected by the UK's National Highways to oversee the A47 Thickthorn junction upgrade near Norwich, England, under a £153m contract.

This project aims to alleviate congestion, improve road resilience, and promote economic growth. Plans include a new 1.6km free-flow link road connecting the A11 northbound to the A47 eastbound, with two new underpasses.

During the same month, Skanska secured a contract for the construction of Fazer’s approximately €400m chocolate factory in Lahti, Finland.
