Muse has formalised a partnership with Milton Keynes City Council and Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) to deliver a masterplan for the comprehensive regeneration project, Central Bletchley, centred around Bletchley railway station.
The agreement, announced on 20 July 2026, aims to transform Bletchley, a market town in Milton Keynes recognised for its codebreaking heritage, through a mix of new housing, amenities and improved public infrastructure.
The Central Bletchley project will focus on residential-led, mixed-use development, bringing forward new homes with a combination of affordable units, homes for open market sale, and Build to Rent properties.
Plans also include new retail and community spaces, alongside enhanced public areas designed to improve quality of life for the approximately 47,000 people living in Bletchley.
The partnership marks the latest step in the area's ongoing transformation, building on a recent combined investment of £22m.
This funding consists of £17m from the Government’s Growth Mission Fund and an additional £5m from Milton Keynes City Council, allocated to develop a new eastern entrance at Bletchley Station.
The new station entrance will provide a direct link to Queensway, the main high street, with the aim of increasing accessibility and supporting local businesses by encouraging greater footfall.
According to Muse, the regeneration of Central Bletchley is closely aligned with regional efforts to strengthen Bletchley’s role within the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor, a key initiative focused on improving economic and transportation links in the region.
The future East West Rail link, which is planned to connect Oxford and Cambridge via Bletchley, is expected to further reinforce the town’s connectivity and economic prospects.

The development in Central Bletchley is one of several similar station-centred schemes in Muse’s UK portfolio, including Stevenage Station Gateway and Bristol Temple Quarter, which prioritise infrastructure as a catalyst for long-term, sustainable growth.
