Egypt-based Grova Developments has awarded Hassan Allam Construction a $1bn contract to deliver Grova Westfields, a mixed-use real estate project in West Cairo.
The development, situated on 303 acres in the Sheikh Zayed area, is part of Grova Developments’ ongoing expansion in the Egyptian market.
The project is being undertaken through a partnership with the Egyptian Kuwaiti Company for Real Estate Development.
Grova Westfields will include a five-star hotel with 150 rooms, luxury villas, branded residences, and apartments.
Hassan Allam Construction’s scope of work also includes site-wide infrastructure and landscaping across approximately 1.2 million square metres.
The location was selected for its proximity to Sphinx International Airport, the Pyramids Corridor and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
International design firm Broadway Malyan is leading the project's master planning and architecture.
The company is tasked with shaping the overall architectural vision for the new development.

The announcement follows Grova Developments’ previous project, Grova EastHills, in East Cairo, where the first phase was fully sold out.
In 2026, Grova Developments also launched Noor Khuzam, a residential community in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking its expansion outside Egypt.
