Infrastructure company AECOM has been selected by the US Air Force Civil Engineer Center to provide global architecture and engineering services.

The contract, which falls under an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity framework, will support a variety of environmental initiatives for the US Air Force and other federal entities.

This multiple award task order contract enables AECOM to offer environmental services across the entire project life cycle.

The services will include planning, assessment, investigation, construction design, and long-term operations and management support.

The contract has a maximum value of $1.5bn and extends over a ten-year period, split into a five-year base and a five-year option.

AECOM president Lara Poloni said: “Our team is honoured to support the air force’s mission with innovative, sustainable solutions that address complex environmental challenges around the world.”

“This contract reflects the trust our federal partners place in AECOM’s technical excellence and ability to deliver. It strengthens our role in helping protect natural resources while supporting operational readiness across global installations.”

AECOM global environment business chief executive Frank Sweet said: “AECOM is proud to continue supporting the US Air Force with our industry-leading, integrated environmental and engineering expertise that aligns with national security and sustainability goals.

“This contract exemplifies the rising demand for resilient, future-ready infrastructure that addresses both national security imperatives and environmental sustainability.”

AECOM has also secured a separate contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District. This contract involves providing environmental remediation services at Vandenberg Space Force Base, located in California's Central Coast.

Furthermore, AECOM Hunt, in a joint venture with Barton Malow, has been appointed as the construction manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars' new stadium in Florida, US.
