Westdale Real Estate Investment and Management (Westdale), Ivanhoé Cambridge and Hines have broken ground on The Stack, a mixed-use building to be located on Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas.

The 16-storey, mixed-use building will include 15,000ft² of retail space and 200,000ft² of office space. Designed by 5G Studio Collaborative, The Stack is centrally located on highly walkable environment teeming with over 60 restaurants and bars, retail and over 20 live music venues.

The project has been designed to have brick and grit feel at ground level and the upper levels have been designed to reflect innovation, function and style of the workspaces, hence it has been named The Stack, the developers said.

Ivanhoé Cambridge leasing and development, office and industrial executive vice president Jonathan Pearce said: “The Stack embodies the latest in human-centric design.

Amenities at the building include an expansive 10th-floor terrace overlooking the Dallas skyline, a fitness centre, bicycle storage, a coffee/cocktail lounge, concierge package delivery and more.

The building is also expected to have an electric vehicle and potentially scooter charging stations. It will also be one of the first in the city to receive WELL certification.

Construction on the building is expected to be completed by the next spring.
