Real estate developer Wellen Park has commenced construction of a mixed-use development, Downtown Wellen, in the US.
The new development will include an 80-acre lake, pedestrian-friendly streets, waterfront dining, retail shops, and public community spaces for residents and visitors.

It will also feature shops; restaurants; a Town Hall for concerts and events; and a permanent food truck park, a Great Lawn for community celebrations.
The project will also include a natural playground will provide an imaginative spot for young residents and visitors to play.
Downtown Wellen will become the central hub and gathering place for the Wellen Park master-planned community.
Slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2022, the project will also include a 4.5km trail which will traverse around the centre piece lake and create way for biking, walking and running.
Wellen Park marketing vice president Christine Masney said: “It’s a healthy place, and there are many ways to be healthy. It might mean taking your kayak or paddleboard out or fishing the 80-acre lake. It might mean hiking, biking or walking around our pathway. It might be a sunset happy hour toast with friends, or simply sitting under the big oak and relaxing.”
In June this year, the company partnered with Davis Development to develop Tropia at Wellen Park, a new 13.6-acre luxury rental apartment complex.
The development will include brand-new luxury apartments with designer kitchens. Other amenities include resort-style pool, well-equipped fitness centre, a brew lounge, and a cyber cafe with private offices and a conference room, along with other amenities.
