Tejon Ranch has announced plans to commence construction on its first-ever residential project, Terra Vista at Tejon, in California, US.

The new multifamily apartment community will be situated close to the Outlets at Tejon within the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center (TRCC).

It is expected to complete the company’s transition to a fully integrated real estate development organisation.

The project will also initiate the TRCC’s shift into a mixed-use master-planned community.

The TRCC currently hosts more than 8.2 million square feet of industrial and retail space either existing, under construction, or nearing construction.

The first phase of the Terra Vista at Tejon apartment community will feature 228 units, with the potential to expand up to 495 units.

The community will offer a range of studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartment homes.

This development aims to cater to the housing needs of thousands of employees within the TRCC and the local community.

Tejon Ranch Real Estate executive vice-president Hugh McMahon said: “Located next to the Outlets at Tejon and all the great shopping opportunities available there, Terra Vista at Tejon will include a wide range of quality amenities that will make it a great place to live, transforming TRCC into a mixed-use community where people can live, work and play.”

Construction is scheduled to commence in late January 2024, with the first units set for completion in the first half of 2025.
