
Skanska has invested about $49.11m (SEK470m) in Kaprifolen, a sustainable residential project, at Solna, Sweden.
This project, near Stockholm, will have 127 Nordic Eco-labelled apartments.
The construction contract is worth about $31.35m (SEK300m), which will be included by the company in its order bookings for the first quarter of this year.
According to the firm, Kaprifolen project will aim to reduce climate footprint from the time the shovel is placed in the ground until “long after moving in”.
The project make use of green concrete and solar cells. Green concrete has 50% less impact upon climate than ordinary concrete.
It will be certified by Nordic region’s official Nordic Ecolabel.

Construction of the project will begin in this spring and is expected to be finished by the end of 2024.
Occupancy is expected in 2024.
