British construction company Seddon has begun building 29 affordable rent homes in Nuneaton, UK, to meet local demand for affordable housing.
The project was designed by Walker Troup architects and is being delivered for housing company Citizen.

The £3.3m ($4.5m) scheme aims to provide a range of housing types intended primarily for families and older people.
Named Triton Road, the project is part of Citizen’s commitment to building affordable homes in areas across the West Midlands.
Citizen development executive director Nick Byrne said: “We’re pleased to see work starting on the Triton Road site in Nuneaton and once completed, it will provide much needed homes for people living in Nuneaton.
“It’s good to be working with Seddon again on a brownfield site in Nuneaton and we are looking forward to seeing the site progress.”

By GlobalDataLocated south of the town centre, the project is within close proximity of community facilities such as Pingles Leisure Park, Wembrook Community Centre and several nurseries and schools.
The project includes six two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom houses, as well as a block of ten two-bedroom apartments.
All the homes will be equipped with unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) doors and windows, as well as insulated floors, walls and lofts designed to help reduce residents’ energy bills.
Seddon will install fixtures and fittings, decorate the homes and undertake external works, including lighting, hard and soft landscaping and building access roads.
Work is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of next year.
