Redsun Projects has reportedly submitted proposals for a new 50,000ft² industrial hub, dubbed Hub50, at Knowsley Business Park, UK.
With a development value of £7.5m, the project is part of the company’s Knowsley Hub development and is situated off North Perimeter Road.
As part of the scheme’s first phase, the company completed the development of a 36,000ft² trade counter scheme at the end of last year, reported Liverpool Business News.
This three-acre site is already 50% let to tenants such as SCIS and Howdens Joinery.
The company has now acquired a four-acre site for the second phase from Knowsley Council.
Redsun director Nick Wightman said: “We were extremely encouraged by the high level of interest we received in phase one.
“This sustained occupier demand has given us the confidence to push forward with a second phase. We will look to start on site towards the end of this year once planning consent is secured.”
The project’s team consists of KGA, AEW, Link Engineering, and Langton Development Services. B8 and Avison Young are joint agents for the scheme.
B8 partner Jon Thorne said: “Knowsley Hub is a perfect example of what can be achieved when a proactive council and a forward-thinking developer work together.
“With planning now submitted, we’ll be marketing the site to prospective occupiers and giving businesses the option of relocating to a new, bespoke, highly sustainable facility.”
