RangeWater Real Estate has commenced construction on Caliza at the Loop, a new build-to-rent town home project in San Antonio, Texas, US.

Located on the Texas State Highway Loop 1604, the new 16.53-acres single-family rental community will include 154 town homes with three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom floor plans.

It will feature playground, pool with a deck and covered grilling area, a clubhouse, fitness centre, as well as a business centre.

Caliza at the Loop will be situated near major companies including J.P. Morgan, Wells Fargo, Rackspace Technology, USAA, H-E-B, Harland Clarke, and three military bases.

The community will be just minutes’ drive from San Antonio airport and downtown.

It will be the company’s first ground-up development project in San Antonio and second community in the city.

RangeWater Southwest managing director Nick Wilhelmson said: “Caliza at the Loop is located near some of San Antonio’s best schools and recreation areas.

“Our community will boast an impressive amenity package, social programming and high-quality designer finishes under our build-to-rent Storia platform.”

The first move-ins into the community are planned to begin in May next year.

In San Antonio, the company’s first venture is conversion of a student housing into a build-to-rent single-family neighbourhood, known as Cottages at Leon Creek.

Last month, RangeWater commenced construction on a new community, named The Darby, in Austin, Texas.

Located in Manor, suburb of Austin, along I-290, the new development will include 24 town homes mixed in among 326 garden-style apartment homes.

It will also feature a fitness centre, grilling stations, club house, outdoor lawns, a dog park, pool, and firepits.
