Peab has received a contract to construct 138 apartments for the second stage of Trägården project in Askim in southern Gothenburg of Sweden.
Stena Fastigheter Göteborg has commissioned Peab for this $24m (SEK225m) contract.
Peab is set to commence construction of this project soon.
Out of the 138 apartments, 52 will be earmarked as rental apartments, while the remaining will be tenant-owned.
The project, with a definite sustainable profile, will feature a combination of concrete and glulam, with the facades covered in wood paneling.
ECO-Betong will be used for in-situ casted concrete construction.

The project aims to keep energy consumption low, with the energy planned to be drawn from renewable sources such as solar panels.
Furthermore, the buildings will be heated by the district heat from return heat from the neighbouring Pilegården.
Construction of this turnkey project is anticipated to be completed by summer 2024.
Peab will book this contract for the second quarter of this year.
