Construction and civil engineering firm Peab has secured a contract from Sato-Rakennuttajat Oy to build apartments in Vantaa, Finland.

Scope of the €15m contract includes construction of two high-rises with 159 apartments in Vantaa Keimolanmäki.

The project, which will be order registered in the third quarter of this year, is a turnkey contract.

Construction work will commence next month, with completion anticipated in May 2023.

Peab region manager Marko Rinkinen said: “Our latest project together has just been completed and is ready to be turned over to our customer. This new project will be a great continuation of our successful collaboration with Sato.

“We are proud to be able to contribute to augmenting residential options for people in Vantaa.”
Peab has received many other contracts this month.

Earlier this month, the firm was selected to construct a new school with a schoolyard and 22 rental apartments in central Eskilstuna of Sweden.

Eskilstuna Municipality awarded the contract for the school, while Eskilstuna kommunfastigheter gave the contract for rental apartments.

Also, recently, Peab bagged a €24m contract from Finnish food company Atria to build a new production plant in Seinäjoki, Finland.

The company will be responsible for building a new 36,000m2 plant for poultry production, which is expected to help Atria boost its production capacity of chicken products by 40% in the country.
