Construction and civil engineering company Peab is set to commence construction on additional tenant-owner apartments in Umeå, Sweden.
This new HSB Brf Mariehöjd 8 residential development will feature 79 tenant-owner apartments and two common areas, which will include a sauna and relaxation area, a short-stay apartment, and a boardroom.
The estimated value of this contract is Skr133m, with HSB Norr and Peab Bostad’s jointly owned company Mariehöjd Produktion serving as the client of this project.
Peab region manager Susanne Hallberg said: “We consider contributing to more homes for the city’s residents, as well as new people moving in an important part of what we call locally produced community building.
“We work together with HSB Norr to create inclusive city boroughs regarding both the homes and the environment surrounding them.”
In 2011, Peab purchased the site and started constructing a new city borough at Mariehöjd in Umeå.

This is the eighth of a total of nine stages in the overarching community development of Umeå.
