Peab has received a €19m contract from Jyväs-Parkki Oy to construct a parking garage in Jyväskylä,,a city in Finland.

This new garage will feature a total of 208 parking spaces and will be constructed underground in a central location next to Jyväskylä Town Hall.

Developing a parking garage underground need huge groundwork and solid construction and furthermore, the project will need a large construction crew given that the parking garage walls and roof will be cast in-situ, stated Peab.

Peab region manager Matti Joensuu said: “We’re very proud to carry out this project and contribute to the development of Jyväskylä.”

Construction of the parking garage will commence in March 2023, with its completion expected in the summer of 2024.

This turnkey contract will be registered by the company in Q4 2022.

Earlier this week, Peab was commissioned by Region Jönköping County to reconstruct parts of Högland Hospital in Eksjö, Sweden.

This contract is worth $28.8m (SEK300m).

Peab will commence work on part B of the Högland Hospital.

This work entails renovation of the centrally located buildings 06 and 25 that also include the ER.

Construction work will begin next month, with work expected to complete by May 2025. Landscaping work is slated to complete in August 2025.

Order for this turnkey contract will be registered by Peab in Q4 2022.
