Building materials producer Partanna has partnered with Saudi Readymix (SRM) to test carbon-negative concrete at SRM’s facility in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Readymix is a domestic ready-mixed concrete producer.

The latest collaboration marks a step in Partanna’s move towards sustainable construction practices.

During a full-shift operation, Partanna’s carbon-negative binder was seamlessly integrated with SRM’s existing aggregate to produce concrete blocks.

This method eliminated the use of traditional Portland cement.

The produced concrete blocks are said to have been tested by ACES, a materials and technology company, and have met the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization’s requirements.
