The Lowe will be a four-story mixed-use complex, which is located in Downtown Savannah at 31st and Montgomery Streets.
MED development vice-president Nick Finland said: “We are thrilled to be working with Omega Construction, who has a proven track record for building high quality developments in Savannah and the Southeast region.”
Omega’s collection of developments includes many mixed-use constructions across the Southeast of the US.
One of these is the under-construction Grove at Ardsley in midtown Savannah, Georgia and the other is the recently completed Latitude Margaritaville Town Center Amenity in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
Omega Georgia Division vice-president Todd Mayo said: “The Lowe will be a great complement to the Company’s project list. We are thrilled to see this project finally come to fruition. From the uncertainty of last year to battling a very volatile construction market, we worked diligently with MED and the design team to make it happen. I look forward to seeing the project benefit from our collective hard work and commitment.”
Other partners in The Lowe project include Lynch & Associates, Thomas & Hutton, Focus Design Interiors, and McVeigh & Mangum.
Measuring 147,000 ft2, the building will contain 77 one-bedroom units, 46 studios and 12 two-bedroom apartments. Amenities planned for The Lowe include a fitness center, a clubhouse area, a leisure area, and an elevated pool.
The Lowe is anticipated to blend within a historic neighbourhood where it will also appeal to the diverse senses of a multi-generational target market, such as professionals, college students, and those wanting to be near Savannah’s lively downtown scene.
Construction of The Lowe is scheduled for completion in the Summer of 2022.
